Test The New Google Search Engine Today

“Google Bomb” detailed the problems with the Google search engine. And since Google is the “reputation engine”…you’ll want to know that the results for searches is about to change. A pre-beta testing version is available here: Google Caffeine.

I suggest you take your key terms that people search for when checking out your reputation (your name, business name, product names, service names, key executives…) and see what is soon going to be coming up.

I searched for my name, John W. Dozier Jr., and got 566,000 results under the existing search engine logic. Using the new “Caffeine”, there are 123,000 results. It’s in pre-beta, so the numbers are likely off. For instance, I got more results for my name in quotation marks (209,000) than without, which shows a significant issue with the data. But it’s still worth a sneak peak, if for no other reason than to see what could affect you or your business or loved ones abruptly and without notice.
